When Worlds Collide is a feminine-forward speculative fiction novel designed to entertain the reader and make them think – about life, oppression, struggle, injustice, truth, and love. Social justice is a theme threaded throughout the book. I wrote When Worlds Collide after I developed the characters of Wickyd Rivers and Cat in my short stories. They were such opposing characters that I felt I had to put them together in a cohesive story about good and evil. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of aliens surreptitiously influencing and being a part of human history. In When Worlds Collide, Cat encounters Wick, a mysterious nomad who plays a pivotal role in changing Cat’s world forever. Ultimately, Cat learns that things are not as they seem, not even she is.
